"I don't think you should come to Ohio and tell the people of Ohio one thing and then have your campaign tell a foreign government something else behind closed doors," she said in Toledo. "That's the kind of difference between talk and action that I've been talking about throughout this campaign." [Source: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/03/democrats.primaries/index.html]
Are these really the words of Hillary Clinton? How honest and truthful is she? Can we believe what she tells us? If she is really truthful as she claims, can she release copies of her joint tax return with Bill before the polls open tomorrow? If she is truthful and honest and passionate about our cause, if she really has no link to Tony Rezko, she will do all in her power to disclose her tax information today and not some time in the future. We want action and not talk.
Now let us get one thing straight: when the red phone moment occurs at 3 in the morning, Hillary alone will not be making the decision about what course our country should take. Being the president does not make you savvy in domestic, national, international, and military affairs. That is why we have a system of government that ensures that the president has at his/her disposal 24/7 a corps of advisors who will help him/ her to determine the course this country should take. The failure of the president to make the right judgment when that red phone moment occurs can therefore be attributed in part to the advice that the president receives from his corps of advisors. So Hillary, Americans are not ignorant; we understand how executive decisions are made.
Here is my suggestion to you, Hillary: If you can not bounce back big tomorrow, chill out and get out, and let us begin preparations for November. Don't spoil this year for the Democratic Party. We will never forget or forgive you.
